Donna has always been a maker of “things” and has explored her creativity through a number of mediums. When she was just 8 Donna began making fimo beads.  Before long she had so many beads and wondered what to do with them.  That’s when her jewellery-making began.

After studying painting and drawing at the Ontario College of Art and Design she moved on to study jewellery, earning Dean's List standings at George Brown College . A new world was opened to her when she discovered how fascinating working with metal could be, and with that new materials and techniques were added to her repertoire. Donna's beaded jewellery showcases the natural beauty of semi precious stones and reworked vintage pieces. Her metal work, primarily sterling silver, illustrates an affinity toward and appreciation for nature depicted in her etchings and castings of local flora.

Donna continues to study by attending workshops which broaden her knowledge and creativity.  She is currently working out of her Collingwood studio, The Artist's Den. Located at 31 Simcoe Street, The Artist's Den is a new endeavour shared with partner Mark Berens, landscape painter.
